How Recipes work
- Each Ingredient contributes base Fodder.
- A Recipe becomes available when its required Ingredient types are present.
- Activate the Recipe by clicking or dragging it before choosing Cook.
- Recipe Slots limit how many Recipes the run can hold or use.
- Recipes can be upgraded, and a Stamp adds another trigger to its Recipe.
Recipe effects vary. Some add Flavor, some interact with Fodder or Essence, and others change resources or progression.
Recipe examples
Cottage Cheese
Adds Flavor based on the number of Farmsteads on the island.
Food Stamp
Produces a Stamp; each Stamp makes the relevant Recipe trigger one more time.
Apple Hex Sauce
Uses a kept-Dice condition and contributes additional Fodder.

A single-use Tool that increases the level of one Recipe.

Check that the matching Ingredient types are in the cooking area and that you still have the required Recipe access. Then activate the Recipe before Cook.
How do I get more Recipe Slots?
Additional Recipe Slots come from the Merchant Post progression route. Exact thresholds can vary with progression and modifiers.
Do Recipes activate automatically?
No. Click or drag an available Recipe to activate it before Cook.
